The rain moved out yesterday afternoon, leaving a beautiful night for VRA friends and family to enjoy the New Orleans Baby Cakes Pool Party.

If you look closely, you’ll notice some white tanks in the photos. These are diesel fuel tanks that can run the facility on alternative fuels for up to 2 weeks during a power outage.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of Edward L. Rodriguez’s passing on Wednesday evening. Known as Mr. Eddie around the office, he was reknowned as “The Code Expert.” Mr. Eddie began practicing architecture in 1955 and was with VergesRome Architects for 52 years, starting in 1965 with Underwood Verges and Associates. His peaceful, creative spirit will be deeply missed by all of us at VRA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church, 8900 W. Metairie Ave., Metairie on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

VRA’s team was there as the 2017 edition of the popular Monk Run made its triumphant return to the beautiful grounds of Saint Joseph Abbey, following the extensive flooding last March, which resulted in $35 million in damage. The annual 1-mile / 5k trail run and walk took place on Saturday, March 18 at Saint Joseph Abbey, located in St. Benedict, Louisiana, north of Covington.
