Patrick F. Taylor Regional Science and Technology Academy was selected as the AIA New Orleans Chapter People’s Choice in Architecture for 2014.
The dramatic new educational facility serving grades 6 through 12, located in Avondale, was designed by Perez, APC, the Prime Architect for the project, with VergesRome Architects providing design, production, and construction administration services as consultant to the Prime. The $27 million, two-story, 99,762 square foot college preparatory school opened to students for the 2013-2014 school year.
The dramatic school building was one of six new buildings featured in New New Orleans Architecture: 6 Buildings Among the Best, in the March 2014 issue of New Orleans Magazine.
