W. Scott Andrews

Design Professional – Architecture

Scott Andrews is a longtime member of the VergesRome Architects team and has more than 25 years of architectural experience in the New Orleans area. His project experience includes new residential design, residential renovations/restorations and additions, new multi-family construction, warehouse to multi-family conversions, restaurant interior design and renovations, and renovation of existing educational facilities.

Scott has worked with numerous developers, builders, and construction companies throughout the area, and participated in design teams with other design professionals, including architects, interior designers, landscape designers, lighting designers, and MEP and structural engineers. He is comfortable presenting to City Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, Board of Building Standards and Appeals, and HDLC. Project experience has afforded Mr. Andrews a familiarity with Local City Zoning Codes and Laws, IBC 2006, and Life Safety Codes – NFPA 2006. Scott’s experience also includes preparing and submitting for project tax credits based on design criteria set forth by the National Park Service, and the PRC for façade servitudes. During his architectural career, Scott has developed a special interest in historic restoration and preservation, resulting in numerous honors and awards for his efforts in these areas by the HDLC and the PRC.

In addition to his interest in architecture in general, and that of the City of New Orleans specifically, Mr. Andrews is also committed to and invested in the well-being of his Carrollton neighborhood and the City.  He sits on the board of a number of neighborhood organizations including the Northwest Carrollton Civic Association and the Carrollton Area Network.
