Richard W. Fenner, AIA

Partner

Rick Fenner, who joined the firm in 1981 and became a Partner in 2003, has worked as a designer, project architect, specifications writer, estimator and project programmer.

Since December 2005 Rick has been the Project Manager for the $76 million Campus Restoration of LSU Dental School and Health Sciences Center, a complex, multi-phased restoration of the 25-acre, 45-year old campus with 18 buildings totaling over 500,000 SF. Funded by FEMA, the project has entailed multiple sub-tasks performed concurrently, and the final phase, a new $50 Million operatory, research, laboratory, and support facility.

A member of AIA Louisiana, Rick has served as treasurer and program chairman of AIA New Orleans.  He is also the Past President of Crescent City Kiwanis Club; active member and past President of Atonement Lutheran Church; member of the Lutheran Layman’s League; Past member of the East Jefferson Public School Parents Advisory Board; Past President of the Bonnabel Band Parents Club, Past President of Roosevelt Middle School PTO.

While away from office duties, Rick enjoys traveling, particularly to the mountains.  Visits to historical sites with family, photography, and walking make for a great companion with architecture.  He grew up in Columbus, Indiana, known for its rich architectural heritage as the “Athens of the Prairie.”
