VRA’s team was there as the 2017 edition of the popular Monk Run made its triumphant return to the beautiful grounds of Saint Joseph Abbey, following the extensive flooding last March, which resulted in $35 million in damage. The annual 1-mile / 5k trail run and walk took place on Saturday, March 18 at Saint Joseph Abbey, located in St. Benedict, Louisiana, north of Covington.

Today we toasted John Morton, AIA as he enters retirement after practicing architecture for more than 50 years.
A little history: In 1972, Morton opened the firm of John F. Morton, Jr. and Associates, Architects. In 1991 Mr. Morton merged his practice with Verges Associates Architects to found Morton Verges Architects, which in 2006 merged with Rome Architecture to become VergesRome Architects.
