Administration

Adept at balancing the demands of a busy office, MargAnn has worked in almost every aspect of architectural firm administration, from meet and greet; office management and accounting; marketing; human resources; and insurance / risk management; to project and graphics support; and production of AIA documents for the firm’s Project Managers. MargAnn has been Assistant to Principal Steve Rome since 2000.

MargAnn has enjoyed a lifelong interest in architecture, inspired by childhood travels and by her father, who was a draftsman at Higgins Shipyard during and after WWII.

MargAnn is a Member of the USGBC – Louisiana Chapter and was a Green Schools Challenge Mentor for Ben Franklin High School for two school years, 2013-2014 and 2014-2015, with the BFHS team earning First Place for High Schools both years.

MargAnn enjoys her free time with Don, her husband of 39 years, their two grown children and three grandchildren. With their two-year old rescue dog, Bryce, they reside in an architect-designed 1966 “atomic ranch”-style home in Lakeview that they bought and rehabilitated after Hurricane Katrina, where they enjoy entertaining friends, including their celebrated karaoke and New Year’s Eve parties.
